From the Publisher & Webmaster: Things really are looking up around here at Jetsetmodern, including tulips and daffodils and fresh new looks at design in the world around us, both new and old, but always modern. We're pleased to have more readers than ever and are inspired to learn about the growing number of modernist activities around the country. We hear regularly from the West coast, including lovers of Eichlers, and equally from the East, from the North in the NYC area, and from the South in Houston, Texas and Sarasota, Florida. We're inspired by the architecture and design preservation groups like the Palm Springs Modern Committee and Palm Springs Preservation Foundation; the Los Angeles Modern Committee; the Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO) in San Diego; the homeowners of Arapaho Acres in Denver and those in Memorial Bend in Houston; the Sarasota Architectural Foundation, and now, proudly announcing two new ventures for Chicagoans: Chicago Bauhaus & Beyond and the Chicago Modernism Show.
